Largest Incoming Class Starts Cal Lutheran
California Lutheran University welcomed its largest and most diverse freshman class of about 610 freshmen, a nearly 10 percent increase from last year. For the first time, more than half of the first-year students are in ethnic groups that are traditionally underrepresented on college campuses.
Samford Announces Another Record Enrollment
Samford University has set multiple records with the fall 2015 enrollment, exceeding 5,200 students across undergraduate and graduate programs. Confirming projections that started in late spring, university officials announced an official enrollment of 5,206 on Aug. 28. This is Samford’s seventh consecutive record fall enrollment and exceeds last year’s record of 4,933.
In addition to the record total, the fall enrollment figures include a record 826 first-year full-time students, exceeding the previous record of 755 set in 2013.
Also, a record number of freshmen moved into the dorms at the University of La Verne. More than 700 first year students are attending the University this fall, and approximately 400 first year students made their way into La Verne’s residence halls during orientation week.
Nazareth College welcomed the Class of 2019 with a record number of 528 new freshmen, the largest class in the College’s history. It is also one of the most diverse classes, with 20 percent of the freshmen class made up of students of color.
