The New American Colleges & Universities has promoted Michelle Apuzzio to Director of Programs and Communication. Apuzzio previously served as the higher education consortium’s first assistant director.
“Michelle Apuzzio has been instrumental to NAC&U and a crucial advocate for our members. We are delighted that Michelle’s role has expanded and she will continue in her new capacity to help direct NAC&U into the future,” said Sean Creighton, president of NAC&U.
As a director, Apuzzio is responsible for creating and managing multiple communication channels and building relationships with and among external and internal audiences, including NAC&U’s stakeholder affinity groups. She also directs all logistics and promotions for the consortium’s events, including an annual Summer Institute and the Boyer Award presentation at the national AAC&U Annual Meeting. Since joining NAC&U in 2015, Apuzzio has also assisted with the nonprofit’s operations and implemented technology and systems to better facilitate collaboration among the 24-member nationwide organization.
