NAC&U’s chief financial officers’ and enrollment management officers’ constituency groups met at Ohio Northern University in Ada, OH, from March 12 – 14.
Ohio Northern University President Dan DiBiasio welcomed the group to campus on Sunday evening, and Matt Hamill, senior vice president of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), kicked off the first full day of programming with an update on the national higher education landscape. Afterwards, Bill Hall and Brad Griesbach of Applied Policy Research delivered their annual findings of the Net Tuition Revenue Study and discussed strategic pricing. Using survey data, they highlighted changes in sticker price and net prices across multiple years, along with year-to-year changes in enrollment, for member institutions.
On Monday afternoon, the group took a brief sojourn to the nearby Wilson Football Factory before resuming with roundtable discussions for each constituency group. Roundtable discussions continued the following morning before the group reconvened to share the key points of their meetings.
The enrollment management officers will meet again in conjunction with the NACAC Conference in Boston in September 2017. They also plan to host an NAC&U table at the event in the exhibit hall. The group also will collaborate on branding opportunities and potentially develop a dashboard to share information and data throughout the year.
